¿What is h2i?
h2i is a training centre for postgraduate students and a research space for companies on the field of Human Centered Innovation.
The institute works with innovation methodologies, skills and tools, developed by important American and European universities, and that have been successfully tested and used in business.
h2i promotes a space for training and experimenting, to be used as a think-tank, and from which the associate companies can benefit.
¿Why a school?
Nowadays, one of the most widespread ideas is that innovation is inevitably linked to technology, and in particular, to Information Technologies. This school of thought seems to permeate public and private debate about innovation, and it usually drives both the training on innovation and its application.
If we want to look at innovation from a different perspective, more centered in the HOW than in the WHAT, we need to build up our own space. We need to be able to define all aspects of the training experience that we want to offer, from the pedagogic philosophy to the physical environment. This forces us to start from scratch.
Why an innovation space for companies?
Innovation can only exist when applied. Companies, with their ability to transform reality, are the best instruments to achieve that practical application. h2i wants to orient all projects carried out by its students towards solving real problems through practical and feasible ideas.

Innovation has random elements, difficult to forecast, so that betting for diversity increases the chances of success.
Many companies are already running innovation initiatives, and h2i offers them a new way of working. A new path in a context away from their day to day conditioning, with multidisciplinary teams and specific innovation methodologies, in an environment built up to foster creativity and team work.
